About Riven Phoenix:
Riven's journey in Art began early like many aspiring artists. Inspired by renaissance masters such as Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci he developed a true love of drawing from one's mind in his younger years. As he was growing up in New York City his other major influences came from sequential artists such as Jack Kirby, Joe Kubert, Neal Adams, Todd McFarlane, Alex Ross and Jim lee. Realizing his passion for art was not going away his parents eventually saved up enough money to let him work through the Famous Artist Course. Later he moved to Stamford Connecticut where he attended the "Rippowam High School" for the gifted. This is where art students at an early age went through a very experimental curriculum named the 'cluster' program. This allowed Riven to concentrate on developing his drawing techniques even further. This was a one of a kind art high school in the 80's which has now been turned into an engineering school for the gifted. After graduating he went on to continue his art studies at the "School of Visual Arts" in New York City and also at the "Connecticut Institute of Art". After studying at several art schools in the United States he ended up becoming an art instructor and now has been teaching for over 20 years. He went on to create 'The Structure of Man HD' figure drawing course for the artist which became his most important work for the Artist community. The course is now used in over 68 countries and by leading entertainment studios. The lessons presented in "The Structure of Man HD" contain 20 years of research and development into helping art students rapidly grasp the complex structure of human anatomy for all areas of today's art fields. Today "The Structure of Man HD" Figure Drawing Course is not only the most successful course used in schools but is used by companies like LucasFilms (Star Wars), ILM (Star Wars), DreamWorks SKG, Universal Pictures, Miday, Ubisoft, RedStorm (Ghost Recon) to name a few. The videos have been featured in ImagineFX Magazine issues 15,16,17,18 as part of the Magazine DVD . Riven also went on to further study game art and design at the Collin College in Texas. He went on to create the breakthrough Pose Tool app that allowed artists for the first time in history to pose an organic 3D human figure model on mobile devices. When Riven is not developing breakthrough art courses you can find him working on his iPhone Apps and games and further developing more art courses. He also has a 12 year background in software development, 3D Modeling, Animation and has worked with fortune 500 companies such as Sony, NASA, HP, Samsung, Emerson and Metlife etc.
