In Lesson 9, we dive straight into generating a highly realistic side view of the human skull on the fly. We will not use reference imagery; we will use our "secret formulas."

The Secret Formulas

The skull can appear overwhelming due to its complex curves, the delicate jawbone, and the sunken eye sockets. However, by reducing these organic shapes into easy-to-remember lines and angles, we trick the mind into accepting the complex structure.

Building the Toolkit

By relying entirely on these initial formula sketches, you can consistently draw a perfectly proportioned profile skull in minutes. Once the side view is established, we can use these guidelines to rotate the head into much harder angles.
