You guys, my name is Riven Phoenix and welcome to the Structure of Man, Learned Tribunal
of the Human Figure from your mind training course.
Okay, so in the previous lesson, we went through this very miraculous process of understanding
how the mind was able to just come up with these concepts of basic shapes and was able
to understand how to put these theories into practice, right?
So what we want to do now is really like in this process, the mind is going to go through
a little bit of frustration process because it's probably just questioning, okay, how do
you really just divide this area, like how do we come up where this is supposed to be,
like how we were, how were we able to eyeball this area here, right, and what about the
formulas for the front where we had measured it, right, how come we didn't measure anything
over here?
Well, the thing is that you really don't have to, right, because you really wanted to
use the formulas to get the concept to understand the concept, right, so if you look at this,
you'll see that where this is, you know that it's just going to be close, right, so here
it's going to be close, so that's why we can just wing it and where this mouth is, this,
right, where this is turning, we were able to just wing it and turn it like this, right,
so it trust your mind that it will be able to do this, so let's take a look and join
this in 3D one more time and do it a little more bigger and see what we can understand
from it, so let's say that we're going to right now draw a skull, so here I'm just going
to draw out, let's say, this ball shape here, right, so here you'll see there I'm being
just artistic about it now, so I like to do like this oval shape here, you can do like
a ball shape if you want to, I'm going to do a little oval, it's going to be looking
in that direction here, so what happens is one side did this ball shape because of all
the formulas that I've shown you, we know that we can really just divide this guy in half
in this way and go down just like this, right, so if you take a look at the formulas, right,
it's really just this line going across in this way over here, right, and then once
we have this, if we divide this in half, just this ball shape in half like in 3D, let's
say something like this, we're doing, okay, I'm going to just divide this guy in half
like this, I already know that from here we already stated that if you look at this,
you just need to divide it in half and translate it down here, so we can just look at this,
in this concept here and just say that, okay, well it's about here anyways, right, you have
to make that judgment, right, so if you wanted to understand, you could say that, okay, well,
if I take a line from here and divide this in half, it's really just translating it down here
right, and here we can start to make this idea here for the 3D shape, right, so now we're going
to make this cross section, right, plus sign on the ball, so here I'm just going to come like this
over here, make a ball, a line here going down in this direction, so I already know that, okay,
so from this is the brow and this is just going down in this direction, so I really just need to
figure out, with the half of this head is going to be, it's obviously going to be here, right,
it's half here, half here because the eyes have to be in the middle, so this gives me the line
for the eyes, okay, so if you look at this, with the line for the eyes is right below is,
below this guy is the jawline anyways, right, this is the jawline over here,
and really if you divide this in half, that's where it's going to be, so if we, if we
did this, divided this in half, we know that the jawline is just going to be here, and once we start
curving, right, we want to really just end up over here and do like a nice curve over here,
like so, and make this look, start to look like a human head, so how did I know this curve over here?
Well, let's look at the formula, right, this is the brow area over here, and we know that if we
just divide this in half, right, we're going to get the bottom for the area for where the nose is
supposed to be, this guy right here, and we know that if we just divide this in three different
sections, this is the top of the mat, the bottom of the teeth, and this is where you're going to get
the chin area, we already stated that right where we get the mouth is basically where we need to
start turning, anyways, and that's why we were able to do that, right, it was that simple.
So now, once we have this, we want to understand the forms of this, right, so we know that okay,
well, this is going to be the brow, and over here, we stated that if we divide this in half,
we're going to get that area here that we did, but we also know that it's going to go inside,
right, so you have to now think in 3D, I usually just do this, that that's where the section is
over here, just like this over here, right, where we did this line, and because the bone is so close
over here, all we can do is just do this, just make a socket, right, because the nose is going to go
over this anyways, it's not like you have to come here and do it this way, right, because that is
the thing with drawing, artists is because when you're drawing a real stick figures, all these little
details, because of the way the muscles are going to be, they're going to pile up on top of each other,
and this thing will just end up here anyways, so you can just do the nose here, like just knowing that
it goes in over here, right, so what about this section over here, how do we determine, how do we
determine the eyes over here, right, well, if you look at this where this guy is, right, if you take a
look at this, where this guy is from here, it's going in this, right, it's really just an equal
division, so usually the key to this is just take a look at these and just do an equal division,
and from this, right, imagine the, that idea I told you over here, right, where this is over here
above, where this is over here above, it's just trying to make that square, you know that it's
just going to be here, right, and then over here we can just wing it and make a line just like this,
because we know it's going to come down halfway over here anyways, that's why I can just do it
and on the other side, now this is where you have to use your understanding of this,
is a look where this is, this is so much inside over here and this is the top, this is the top,
on the other side it's just going to go on the other side over here, like this, right, so it's
going to be like that on the other side, just like this, right, so if I shaded this in, it would be
that way over there, right, so you can see I'm giving it, they've been giving this go in artistic
look over here, right, and for the, the area for the cheek over here, it was nothing, I know that
it's going to be here, right, we already went through this, and so I know I'm just, all I have to do
is really just do this and go back over here somehow in this way, and this is that thing that I'm
creating over here, going back and just going like this, and this obviously as I stated comes
this thing here, this thing here comes above, is just putting your ideas together, right, and we know
that this is going to go here, we know that the jaw really is just going to be like this,
right, and then you're going to get that line over here, so obviously for this area over here,
you're going to get this area like this, just like this,
and you'll get your skull ready to go, pretty much, right, and then we know that this area here
where this jaw line is, right, we know it has to be on top, so you know that here is going to be
obviously over here under the nose, you know that the here has to be over here, right, so
this area here is just going to go around like this and come back down, because we can see
that over here, it's a little below over here, just like this, right, and then what gives this
the ability to do that, so now something that you should know, now I'll point out,
so notice that there's a temple here, temple, right, so you're going to get this over here,
that's going to go all the way here, so meaning that over here, you can actually
put this a little bit in if you wanted to, right, and this is where you want to just experiment
with this and see how you're going to put these, like truncate a few ideas in, just like this
over here, right, so if we look, we had talked about the flat area, right, this was the flat area,
so the flat area is really just going to be coming more towards us, see where this line is,
the flat area is here, to the right this line, it's going to be here, to the right of this line,
and here in the back, it's going to be nothing more than just this concept,
okay, so now that we've gotten this, let's clean this off a little bit and see what we can do with this,
as an illustration, okay, so here I'm just going to use my imagination here, make my own skull
over here, right, you can see that we don't even have to use much reference for anything because
we can just do it from the mind, because it just understands what is it that you're trying to do,
right, because I mean you've seen enough skulls, right, so it'll just use its memory banks and get
away from symbolism and just start using it, right, so there's a cut over here on the skull,
so usually I'm just going to make this a little dark over here, just like this, so over here,
I'm going to do this, and where this is, I'm going to make that just like this, and usually I just
make this dark over here, okay, and just, just take a look at it, how this is working, right,
and then you can just do it this way, right, again we're interested in really the most simplistic
forms of this so we can draw out our figures, and then over here I know that this line really
should be here, this is the, the area for the, the teeth, so it's really, it's going to be going
in this direction over here, and over here I know that it's just going to curbing, right, so
here we can just add a little design over here, make that like a bone structure over here,
right, and this is the area for the ear, right, the ear here has to be the bottom of the nose
and the top of the brow, so how this is going to look like, right, it's just going to sit here,
so when we do the ear, we'll figure that out, so here I'm just going to
do, shape this in like this, do like a quick sketch over here of this skull,
and do like a little bit of a bump over here, just like this,
give it more of a 3D look over here, it's coming down, over here,
and then here we can even do that, right, so if you want to understand the skull a little more,
now you know how to draw the human skull out, you can just look at some references of human skulls
to just understand some critical parts of it, but it's really not my sure understand,
we pretty much saw the whole thing here anyways, okay, so I mean I can work on this all day long
and make it as realistic as possible, right, start to put the teeth in, which is going to be here,
this is where the top of the lips is, this is the bottom of the lips, this will give you enough area
for the chin, this is where you know this goes, so what I want to point out to you is just remember
over here, when you're drawing at the skull, that from here, this is a plane over here, it's coming
towards us, this in, it's coming towards us, this is going down here and then you've got the nose
bone over here and you're going to get the cartilage for the nose over here, right, so the line
for the eye is where this tip is, is where the line for the eye was, meaning when your eyeball sits
with the gravity, your eyelashes are going to be here, you're going to get that fat area,
your eyebrows are going to be here, right, so that's why you should know about that,
okay, so I'll see you in the next lesson, next
